"impression sonore" (2022)

“Impression Sonore” was an exhibition of visual and sound pieces created from immersive work with children from the Communal School of Jemelle (Rochefort-BE), in collaboration with visual artist Anaid Ferté. From recordings of the children’s free exploration and manipulation of objects, electroacoustic pieces were generated through montages, which were complemented by “sound machines” built exclusively for the exhibition. It was wonderful to see how altering the perception of sounds using effects and microphone placement inspired the children to develop entirely original and intuitive musical sequences.
