apicum (2020)

“Apicum” is a sound and visual creation that explores the various micro universes of an ecosystem.

The apicum region is a kind of “saltwater marsh”. It is a sandy terrain that forms in the mangrove zone, a characteristic vegetation of the coast of northeastern Brazil. It forms between the mangrove and the hillside, is unsuitable for planting but is home to a rich bio-diversity.

The piece was created from research, recording and free interpretation in the manipulation of sound and image, in a narrative that starts from the natural events of the landscape and the life of the species.
