calcaire (2023)

Acousmatic piece inspired by the formation of limestone, which makes up the soil of Famenne in Belgium, as well as by the entire sound palette that exists in this region.

The narrative is composed of 3 movements: "Intemperies: Soil erosion, transporting its debris to the depths of the sea; "Diagenesis": Accumulation of debris over the years; "The Walk": Formation of a porous soil that, thanks to the constant presence of water, ends up deteriorating cyclically.

Reflecting on this process, I drew an analogy with life itself, where over the years, we accumulate objects, thoughts, beliefs, habits (the rock/the body), always subject to transformations that unfold very slowly, thanks to almost imperceptible natural phenomena (the water/the soul) that are present and follow their course.
