The studio has always deeply fascinated me. It is an environment shrouded in mystery, where various forms of alchemy occur, allowing ideas to materialise and creating human, artistic, spiritual connections, and, above all, a connection with myself. The deep relationships I establish with the equipment, instruments, the smell, and the arrangement of elements in the room inspire me and provide solace for my creative desires, calming my agonies.

For an introverted person, having a refuge helps deal with certain ghosts, improving, to some extent, my relationship with the world. I have the impression that it was the same for my paternal grandfather, José. Although I never met him, everyone speaks of his introverted and creative nature. I feel that the energy he dedicated to his experiments with films, photographs, and sound recordings in the 60s and 70s, in the laboratory he had at the back of his house, was genetically passed down to me. Anyway, I wish I had met him...

Orí  Studio was founded in 2010, in Aracaju, Sergipe, Brazil, my hometown. It is located where the Sergipe River meets the Atlantic Ocean, with its waters crashing against the rocks, the constant wind, and its imposing yet tranquil presence. Since then, Ori has collaborated with the local music scene, serving as a space for the recording and production of various albums and musical projects.
